The Brevard garage refrigerator
The second refrigerator in the garage is close to a regional institution here. It holds drinks, it survives hurricane season as backup cold storage, and eventually it stops running and stays exactly where it is for another three years. Two local things make it ours rather than anyone else's: salt air off the lagoon and the Atlantic rusts the cabinet from the outside while the compressor is still fine, and scrap collectors will not touch a sealed system. We take it however it looks — flat $49.99, any condition, rust included.
The other common one is the post-outage refrigerator. A long power cut in September, a week of heat, and the unit never really recovers. Empty it before the crew arrives — that is genuinely the only preparation we ask for — and the price is the same as any other.
Text us photos
Photos are how you find out. Text a picture of the appliance to (321) 604-1285 and we tell you whether it qualifies for free removal. No quote form, no phone tag, no obligation either way.
- If it qualifies, it is free. You pay nothing — no trip charge, no upstairs fee, no take-apart fee, and no purchase required.
- What does not qualify: appliances that are rusted out or very old. That is the whole list.
- Refrigerators and freezers are the exception: a flat $49.99 in any condition, no photos needed — we never turn one down. $99.99 total if it has to come down from upstairs, which is the whole number rather than $49.99 with a stair charge added.

- You go on the pickup list — we bundle stops by area and run each route once enough have accumulated nearby.
- Two heads-up messages: the day confirmation first, then the driver texts when the truck is headed your way.
- Working units get repaired, re-homed or donated; the rest is broken down for materials rather than landfilled.
Refrigerator Removal — common questions
How much does refrigerator removal cost in Brevard County?
A flat $49.99, and it is accepted in any condition — working or not, however old, rusted or clean. No photos needed, because refrigerators and freezers are never turned down. If the unit has to come down from upstairs it is $99.99 as a total, never a stair fee added on top. Call or text (321) 604-1285 to book, or book online.
Does my refrigerator need to be empty?
Yes — completely empty, with no food or drink inside when the crew arrives. That is the only preparation needed. We handle everything else, including taking the doors off if your doorway needs it, and there is no extra charge for that; the flat $49.99 covers it.
What happens to the refrigerant?
A refrigerator that cannot be re-homed is processed properly: the refrigerant is recovered by a recycler equipped to handle sealed systems, and the metals and materials are recovered after that. Nothing goes to landfill. That recovery step is the reason refrigerators are priced at $49.99 rather than being free — and also the reason most kerbside programs will not take one.
Do you take mini fridges and beverage coolers?
Yes, and they are the same flat $49.99 — a sealed system is a sealed system whether it is a dorm fridge or a French-door unit, and the refrigerant recovery is the same work either way. If you have several going at once, text photos of all of them in one message and we will give you one total.
Do you cover my city?
We cover Brevard County end to end, from Mims and Titusville down to Micco and Barefoot Bay, the whole barrier island from Cape Canaveral to Melbourne Beach, plus Sebastian, Fellsmere and Vero Beach in Indian River County and Edgewater, Oak Hill and New Smyrna Beach in south Volusia. See every city on the service areas page, or text your ZIP to (321) 604-1285.
What happens to my old refrigerator after pickup?
Working units are repaired and re-homed, and some are donated. Anything past saving is broken down so the metals and materials are recovered rather than landfilled. Refrigerant is recovered first, by a recycler equipped for sealed systems.
